The Study Visit ˝European cultural landscapes - old and new Europe: Croatia˝, organized by the Kempinski group from Duren, Germany, will be held in Dubrovnik from 10-17 October 2013.
Today, Member of European Parliament Dubravka Šuica met with members of the Kempinski society from Germany and on this occasion she presented the City of Dubrovnik, Croatia’s path to Europe and the future of Croatia in the European Union.
During the meeting, they discussed topics such as the history of Dubrovnik and the surrounding region, the current socio-economic situation and future plans, infrastructure connectivity in the region, local industry and services, higher education, the situation of young people in general and culture. Šuica has pointed out that as a Member of European Parliament she is particularly committed to three topics: to do everything she can to improve conditions for young people, particularly in relation to unemployment, to realize the Pelješac Bridge project and thereby solve the isolation of southern Croatia and to seek the nomination of Dubrovnik s European Capital of Culture 2020.
