Head of the Croatian EPP Delegation in the European Parliament Dubravka Šuica has condemned the terrorist attack in Paris on the editorial staff of the magazine Charlie Hebdo and she sent a telegram of condolence to the French representatives in the European Parliament as well as to the French Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia Michèle Boccoz.
"I express deep sympathy to the whole France and to the French people for the barbaric act that took place this morning in Paris at the offices of the magazine Charlie Hebdo. At a time when our thoughts are with the families of the victims, on my own behalf, and on behalf of the Croatian EPP Delegation in the European Parliament, please accept our condolences and sympathy," is stated in the telegram from the Head of the Croatian EPP Delegation Dubravka Šuica.
12 people were killed in a terrorist attack on the editorial staff of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris, a horrible event that shook the citizens of the European Union. Everyone has agreed that this attack was not just an attack on the media and journalists in France, but that it is an attack on media freedom in Europe, where the freedom of thought, mutual respect and tolerance are fundamental freedoms.
