We need to find ways to implement humanitarian work. On this occasion, I was able to find a way to convert EP funding intended for the promotion of MEPs into charity for the needs of children who are patients in hospitals in Dubrovnik and Vukovar˝, said MEP Dubravka Šuica during the handover of humanitarian donations at the premises of the workshop of the Kamensko Association in the Zagreb neighbourhood of Knežija.

Today at the premises of the Kamensko Association workshop, Member of the European Parliament Dubravka Šuica donated bathrobes and linens for the needs of the children’s wards of the Vukovar County General Hospital and the Dubrovnik General Hospital which were made by members of the Kamensko Association.

Head of Paediatrics Dr. Marija Radonić accepted the donation on behalf of the Dubrovnik General Hospital, while hospital Director Dr. Vesna Bosanac accepted on behalf of the children’s ward of the Vukovar General Hospital.

˝I hope that this symbolic act will contribute to the quality of service that the hospitals in Vukovar and Dubrovnik offer and that it will at least in some small part ease the stay of children during difficult times of illness. I would also like to use this occasion to highlight the entrepreneurial spirit, perseverance and empathy of the Association members, led by President Đurđa Grozaj˝, said Šuica.

The handover was also attended by members of the Kamensko Association who can serve as an example for other entrepreneurs in Croatia with their persistence and dedicated work.
