Dubravka Šuica, Head of the Croatian HDZ / EPP Delegation in the European Parliament sent a letter of condolence and expressed support to her Italian colleagues in the European Parliament after the devastating earthquake that hit the cities of Amatrice, Accumoli and Pescara del Tronto the hardest.
As a member of the Committee for Environment, Public Health and Food Safety in the European Parliament, MEP Šuica adressed the letter of condolence to her colleague and President of the Committee, Giovanni La Via, MEPs Elisabetta Gardini and Lorenzo Cesa, and to the Head of the Italian delegation of the European People's Party in the European Parliament and Vice-President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani. The letter was also sent to the Italian ambassador in Zagreb, Adriano Chiodi Cianfarani.
˝The proximity and scope of the earthquake that took its toll on the cities of Amatrice, Accumoli and Pescara del Tronto, has deeply affected us,˝ said Dubravka Šuica personally, and on behalf of the entire Croatian HDZ / EPP delegation, expressing empathy and deepest condolences to all the victims and their families and expressing the fullest support of the Italian people in this time of tragedy.
